PEACELOVE

A PLATFORM FOR ARTISTIC SELF EXPRESSION

Creating mindful experiences and connections through (rough) art

The organization PeaceLove was founded on building connections through expressive art and storytelling aimed at creating judgment-free, expressive art activities. When the pandemic removed the possibility of creating shared creative space, the organization quickly turned to their digital partners for a new way forward.

With only a 3 screen POC to launch, the need was focused on designing and expanding the idea of Scribl – a prompted sketch game that promotes social reaction and storytelling spotlights so all can feel heard and connected.

ice breaking for the player and host

The margin for “that was cheesy” vs. “that was fun” is all too thin in today’s ice-breaker world. The role of a good host was all too important for initial version of the gameplay and the experience found itself living or dying on that role. Leaning into what gamification techniques could be included to help support the host, the game added new breakout moments and bursts of fun to keep the energy up and the audience engaged.

BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER WITH A NEW LOOK

While the project was significantly focused on product design, the need for a brand refresh emerged as a key need. The game had reinvented itself multiple times during the POC phase and finally, with the help of the new visual concepts, provided in the product phase, led to its final name: Sribl. A name that reflects its self origin and the intent of the game.
